Join us on Saturday 9th December for an amazing night of live music from The Bowie Contingent during the festive period.
Since 2004 The Bowie Contingent have been paying tribute to the music of David Bowie with their live tribute show.
“Quite simply the best tribute to David Bowie, the man and his music in the UK!” – Bowie Blast Off – Blackpool 2020
“The Bowie Contingent have evolved into the truest & and most genuine interpretation of the lyrics and music throughout the decades in their shows. A must-see.” – Natasha Rose Allan
“I generally hate tribute bands, Bowie ones the most. TBC are not a tribute band in the usual sense.” – Scott Pilkington
“Best Bowie tribute band bar none!” – Mitch Winter
“Other Bowie tributes have had me curling my toes and gagging at the rampant cynicism. TBC is a joyous homage, not a threadbare copy.” Anthony James Brown
“The headline act were The Bowie Contingent, a six piece smartly dressed band. Their set list was phenomenal. It was just perfect for the convention, offering 80’s Bowie such as Fashion, Ashes to Ashes, Absolute Beginners and China Girl, 70’s Bowie including Be My Wife, Sons of the Silent Age (what a great choice!) and Changes. They played Valentine’s Day (another brilliant choice) and Blue Jean alongside Cactus (The Pixies cover). Two encores had some all-time die-hard favourites such as a full version of Station To Station and a stunning version of Quicksand. Jason had a great range for singing Bowie’s material and alongside Conor, a young guitarist who would give Mick Ronson a run for his money, they absolutely smashed it out of the ball park” – jasminestorm.com (Review of headline set at David Bowie Convention 2018)
“The frighteningly talented group of musicians known as The Bowie Contingent. Fronted with aplomb by the genial Jason Richford, this 6-piece are undeniably playing to the initiated and converted. In true Bowie style, the band played not only versions true to the live editions, but added their own twists throughout. Special mentions must be made for Jean Genie, Let’s Dance, Station To Station and the hauntingly beautiful semi-acoustic (until the crescendo ending) Quicksand (a brave and inspired and ultimately very appropriate encore).” – Nyk Hall (Blackpool Bowie Blast Off 2019)
