There’s just one problem, it costs £8k to get the band there and back, find hotels and have a day bringing it all together and having a practice so that they can really knock it out of the hall. They are completely self-funded and just don’t have the money to do this at the moment, as they spent the majority of their reserves attending the nationals in 2022 and some posh new uniform garb, to really cut a dash for the judges.

The band were formed in 1890, which makes them just 133 years old and they have an extremely vibrant youth band where experienced players teach the future of this iconic, important part of our culture here in Sheffield.

We’re asking Sheffield to get behind this, help where we can and drop some cash in their live GoFundMe (https://www.gofundme.com/…/oughtibridge-brass-band-get…) to help with getting our Sheffield band to the finals.

There are also live performances during The Big Brass’tards BoozersTour of Kelham Island and City Centre on Saturday 2nd of September taking place in many of our favourite pubs. Timings are as follows:
