We’re really excited to welcome Nervous Twitch for the first time to the Pax with their signature blend of trashy garage rock meets sassy punk pop. The perfect antidote to shitty-week-at-work blues, literally Shangri Las on acid, supported by Sheffield garage punk favourites The Sleazoids. Free Entry.

“Paying homage to the Ramones and their favourite 60s girl-groups via the medium of punky pop songs. And, make no mistake, that’s a perfectly fine thing to be. There’s actually a bit more to the Twitch than that might suggest, though – that extra bit of proficiency and imagination a band needs to make them stand out.”

///The Sleazoids///
The Sleazoids are a blistering garage punk 3-piece band from Sheffield, and are a bit like if The Cramps and The Fall merged with Bikini Kill! The band features Missy Tassles on trash guitar and vocals, Paul Dorrington on hi-tension bass and vocals with Mitch Genner beating primitive rhythms.
Once described as: “Surf / Punk / Grunge / Garage b*stards…Imagine the Cramps turning up to your beach holiday in Skegvegas, stealing your ice-cream and flashing yer Nan.”
“a whole heap o’ terror-ific rockin’ sounds from the 50s, 60s and 70s…provocatively cool… are performed with all-out, often giddy abandon… all demonstrating some properly fine punk potential, as well as showing off a wicked sense of fun.” – SHINDIG MAGAZINE
