Dan Burnett is one of the UK’s leading piano vocalists. It’s in his blood.
He was spoon-fed blues, soul, funk and rock music from an early age by his dad, Laurie Burnett – who was in bands with ex David Bowie’s ‘Spiders from Mars’ members Mick ‘Woody’ Woodmansey and Trevor Bolder, and as a youngster, Laurie was taught to play guitar by his good friend, the legendary Mick Ronson.
Over the last few years, Dan has written and recorded music for TV & Film (including the Nicolas Cage movie ‘Stolen’, and the US TV series ‘Supernatural’), and has gigged extensively throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. He’s shared stages with the likes of: Malford Milligan (USA), Aynsley Lister, Sherman Robertson, The Animals & friends, Mick Ralphs (Bad Company/Mott The Hoople), Matt Schofield, Todd Sharpville, Debbie Davies (USA), Jo Harman, Nine Below Zero, and Paul Jones (The Blues Band / Manfred Mann/BBC Radio 2). Dan is also proud to endorse Kawai Pianos internationally.
Dan has recently released a full band EP and acoustic single, enjoyed a successful promotional trip to New York City, and currently plays throughout the UK as a solo artist and with The Dan Burnett Band.
He has also recently been nominated as a finalist in The British Blues Awards 2015.
